A candidate should have
a) Registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery.
b) Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing (Basic)/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
c) 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
d) Undergone B.Sc. Nursing (Basic)/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing (Post basic) in an institute which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
e) Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) in a hospital or in a college or in a school of Nursing or in community health program after registration in a State Nursing Council.
f) Minimum one year of work experience prior/after to B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic).
g) In case of male candidates, they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in Place of Midwifery. Those who have studied Midwifery and Registered Midwife are eligible for admission to Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing and Community Health Nursing specialty.
