  • SRIHER is home to a diverse range of student clubs, each offering a unique space for learning, creativity, and personal growth. With 16 clubs in total, there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s the Medical Quiz Club that enhances academic excellence, the theatre and dance clubs that celebrate artistic expression, or the MedHope and Green Friends Organization that focus on shaping responsible citizens, these clubs are open to all students and faculty members, providing an opportunity to develop new skills, explore new interests, and be part of a vibrant community. These club activities ensure that the students are engaged even after class hours and provide them with physical and mental wellness, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Student Club Board

  • Student club members eager to contribute further can become club board members who take on leadership roles and help organize club activities every year. Each club board thus comprises student representatives from across the university – a team carefully curated by the student council through a series of interviews. The Dean of students and the team will be a part of each club and monitor all the activities of each club. The boards of clubs function as per the ‘Student Clubs Handbook’, a student-written handbook that serves as a constitution for clubs, outlining their roles, responsibilities, and operational guidelines, ensuring smooth functioning and student-led governance.assroom.

Dance Club


A creative space where students can express themselves through various dance styles. The club hosts workshops, intra- and inter-college competitions and collaborates with other clubs, fostering teamwork and self-expression. It is the perfect platform to explore rhythm, movement, and passion.

Debate Club


This club enhances public speaking and critical thinking skills through engaging in debate competitions, including SRIHER MUN. It helps students communicate effectively and confidently while broadening their perspectives on global issues.

English Literary Club


A lively community of readers, dreamers, and storytellers who come together to explore the endless possibilities of literature. Beyond writing, the club nurtures creativity through discussions, poetry readings, and storytelling sessions.

Fitness Club


A space for fitness enthusiasts to challenge themselves through daily workouts, awareness campaigns, and events like fitness walks, cycling, and running. The club promotes a healthy lifestyle while building a strong and supportive community.

Green Friends Organization


An NGO club dedicated to social service, health awareness, and environmental sustainability. The club makes a meaningful impact on society through tree-planting, blood donation camps, medical camps, and educational initiatives. Students can actively contribute to building a greener and healthier world.

Indoor Games Club


A club for chess, carrom, table tennis, and other indoor games, providing a space for fun, strategy, and bonding. It organizes competitions that challenge the mind and encourage friendly rivalries among like-minded players.

MedHope Club


A club focused on community-driven initiatives such as blood donation camps and activities for young cancer survivors. It allows students to engage in meaningful social causes and make a difference in people’s lives.

Medical Quiz Club


A club that challenges and enhances medical students’ knowledge through daily quizzes, rapid-fire rounds, and interactive workshops. It promotes learning engagingly, making complex concepts easier to grasp.

Music Club


This club offers instrumental workshops, jam sessions, and on-stage performances from rock to jazz, classical to rap. It is the perfect space for students to express their musical talents and connect with fellow music lovers.

Photography Club


A club that nurtures a passion for visual storytelling through professional and mobile photography events. It encourages students to explore creativity behind the lens and capture moments that speak a thousand words.

Quiz Club


A club for trivia lovers, hosting weekly online quizzes and live quiz sessions every month. It is a great way to test knowledge, challenge oneself, and stay updated on various topics.

Rotaract Club


A student-led club that organizes service projects, social events, and leadership development workshops. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madras, Porur, it provides a platform for students to contribute to society while honing their leadership skills.

Tamil Club – Agal Tamil Mandram


A club that celebrates the beauty of the Tamil language through poetry, creative writing, and elocution competitions. It fosters a deep appreciation for Tamil literature and culture among students.

Theatre Club


A club that brings out the actor in every student through acting, playwriting, set designing, and directing. It provides a stage to experiment with theatre skills and bring powerful stories to life.

Yoga Club


A club focused on physical and mental well-being, offering sessions on meditation, basic asanas, and mindfulness techniques. It helps students find inner peace and balance amidst their academic journey.
