I came from Indonesia to SRMC through and exchange program by our government called “Kampus Medeka”.I arrived here 23rd January 2023 and will end on 28th march 2023. I love being here, the university is huge. I love it the college building is actually side by side with the hospital. The new thing as for me the theory is goes along with the clinical rotation. I never had a chance back there in Indonesia like that.

The canteen is good, especially binge café, they had a lot on the  menu and it’s great. The classroom is really nice it’s clean and managed well. The students are really nice and friendly, even the lecturers are also really nice. They taught us many things and I’m really glad. Thank you SRMC, see you the sometimes

Dr. Shekinah Felcy. J (OT), 2019 Batch Neuro Occupational Therapist at Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, Hamad Medical Corporation

Spending four and a half years as an NRI student at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research was a life-changing experience. The lush green campus wasn’t just scenic—it was a sanctuary of learning, laughter, and personal growth. From early morning lectures to late-night study sessions, every corner of the campus holds a memory. The friendships I built during this time—through shared challenges, celebrations. Being part of the Occupational Therapy Department was a privilege. The department had excellent infrastructure, including separate clinic facilities that gave us hands-on exposure to real-world therapeutic practice. Campus life was vibrant with cultural activities, academic conferences, and Continuing Occupational Therapy Education (COTE) programs. These events were more than just extracurricular— they were platforms for learning, networking, and staying update.

    Chun Saeryung. South Korea

Pursuing my B. Pharmacy at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) has been a truly transformative journey. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the welcoming academic environment and the emphasis placed on both knowledge and practical skills. The Faculty of Pharmacy offers a well-designed curriculum, advanced laboratories, and exposure to real-world applications, which gave me a strong foundation in the pharmaceutical sciences.

I always felt motivated to push my limits, and the mentorship  of the faculty played a huge role in shaping my growth. They were  knowledgeable, approachable and supportive. Their constant encouragement and guidance helped me develop confidence, analytical thinking, and the professional ethics necessary for a successful career.

SRIHER also gave me opportunities to participate in research, clinicals, and community-oriented activities. These experiences allowed me to understand the larger role pharmacists play in healthcare

Looking back, I am proud to be an alumnus of SRIHER.

      Praveena Prabaharan, Sri Lanka

I completed my B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) at Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Nursing as an international student from Sri Lanka.

Initially, I was apprehensive about adapting to a new country and academic environment. However, the Principal, Vice Principal, and faculty members were always supportive  and approachable. Their motivation combined with the warmth and kindness of my peers created a friendly, positive atmosphere, almost like a home away from home.

From the first year to internship, the structured, training,  excellent guidance from our professors, the support of in-charge nursing sisters, and extensive hands-on at Sri Ramachandra hospital provided a solid foundation for developing strong  clinical skills.

Currently, I am employed as a Cardiac Nurse at Lanka Hospitals in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The education and values instilled in me at SRIHER (DU) have been instrumental in shaping my career and continue to guide me professionally.

Ms. Merin Susan Koshy (Final year, M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology)

Originally from the UAE where I completed my schooling, , I have had the privilege of spending nearly six years at the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (SRFASLP), where I completed my undergraduate studies and am currently in my final year of postgraduate studies.

My experience at SRFASLP has been profoundly transformative, shaping me into the
person I am today. The program’s extensive curriculum, delivered by experts in the field, provided me with thorough exposure to all facets of speech-language pathology, both in theory and practice, particularly when attending to patients. One of the highlights of my time here has been the Wednesday programs (Wednesdays at SRFASLP). These sessions provided a perfect balance of academic and extracurricular activities. They not only enriched my learning experience but also encouraged meaningful connections between seniors and juniors, creating a supportive and collaborative environment

SRFASLP became my home away from home, and the knowledge I have gained,
along with the memories I have made with friends and faculty, are ones I will always cherish.
