Being a Consultant Pathologist at SRMC from 2001 her journey from a Tutor to Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor and now as HOD, has been a great learning experience. Over the past 25 years, she have developed a passion for her subject with special interest in Dermatopathology, GI and Hepatopathology. She is also very passionate about teaching undergraduates and postgraduates. Her role as Institutional Ethics committee member, Mentorship Incharge, AETCOM Co-ordinator and currently as the Dean of Students enabled her to understand the needs of the young generation, whom we get to mentor and nurture. She is also a very actively involved in Quality, as a member of the IQAC team, constantly working for improvement in the University. Her role in the Faculty Development programmes and her Advanced course in Medical Education is a testimony to her passion for
education. Her deep interest in research has seen her involvement with several student projects, which has resulted in over 120 publications in various indexed journals. With few research grants, as a Co-investigator, she constantly strives for improvement in scientific knowledge. She is also a reviewer of several journals that has enhanced her scientific learning.
She is also a co editor of a text book on Breast Pathology by SPRINGER publishers and contributed few more chapters in reputed books. She is also a been a resource faculty in around 110 conferences and CMEs with many papers presented in various national and international conferences.

This project is emphasising on the role of infection by H pylori, in the pathogenesis of carcinoma stomach. Being a research advisor for a PHD project, she is working on role of immunohistochemistry in gastric carcinomas.
