Bio
Dr. Andrea Mary F holds an M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Human Genetics. With expertise in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cancer Genetics, her specialization spans Biochemical Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Cytogenetics, and Cancer Biology. She has amassed nearly 21 years of experience in academics, research, and patient care, contributing significantly to student training across disciplines and has led three funded research projects as Principal Investigator. Her projects have earned multiple best poster and best paper awards at national and international forums, and she introduced the noninvasive “Triple Screening Test” for detecting fetal chromosomal aneuploidy using maternal serum markers. She has received several accolades, including second place in the 2024 Ideathon on AI-enhanced biochip technology, the Emerging Researcher Award for her work on estrogen-related cancer pathways, and multiple awards for oral and poster presentations on cancer genetics and environmental health impacts. She has secured three project grants, supervising four Ph.D. scholars.
