Post graduated in pharmaceutical chemistry from Madras Medical College, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. Obtained PhD from Sri Ramachandra University in the year 2014. Worked as a chemist in R&D for two years and entered the teaching profession in the year 2007. Presently working as an Associate Professor in Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Pharmacy, SRIHER(DU), Porur, Chennai 600116.
Published articles in various national and international journals. Filed two patents and one of patent was published in the year 2020. Qualified GATE-2001. Presented papers in various national and international conferences. Completed six online courses from NPTEL and Coursera. Reviewed article for different journals. Handled instruments like HPLC, FTIR, fluorimeter, polarimeter, DSC, UV visible spectroscopy etc. Attended and organized various workshops, seminars and conferences. Received many intramural funds. Life member of APTI and PCI. Guided many UG, PG projects, and also PhD project.
Area of expertise includes isolation and characterization of constituents from natural sources and analytical method development. Interested to research in synthesis and evaluation of new compounds and also formulation and standardization of herbal drugs
