
SRIHER receives extra-mural support from a large network of national and international agencies. This includes premier Governmental funding agencies including The Indian Council for Medical Research, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Science and Technology, The Science and Engineering Research Board, The Indian Council for Social Science Research and The Department of Health Research, The Department of Atomic Energy, The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change as well as international funding agencies including The US National Institutes of Health, The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) UK and the Wellcome Trust.
Several Centers of Research Excellence have been created with center grants including the ICMR Center for Advanced Research on Air Quality, Climate and Health, The DBT- Wellcome India Alliance funded Center on Speech & Hearing Disorders in Children (SRESHT), the NIHR-UK funded Global Center on NCDs and Environmental Change in India and The National Institutes of Health (USA) funded Center focused on Early Childhood Caries (CECCre).
