Acquire a wide knowledge of malignant disease processes as well as the competency of handling cancer patients with non-surgical modalities of diagnosis and treatment.

Acquire the competency pertaining to comprehensive management of cancer patients with radiotherapy using updated guidelines in radiation oncology with special ability to maintain inter disciplinary coordination.

Acquire the ability to address all emotional issues in patients and family members in relation to diagnosis, therapy, terminal care and mortality related to malignancies

Acquire the ability to organise teaching / training sessions for students and health care workers

Acquire the competency of coordinating and implementing goals of cancer prevention, control, screening, early detection, rehabilitation, palliative and terminal care programs of cancer patients as per the objectives of the National Cancer Control Programme of India.

Acquire the competency of organizing proper preventive care strategies in the community aimed at reducing the burden of care in malignancies

Acquire the competency to plan / coordinate research studies and be a part of inter-departmental or multi-centric, national/international research programmes.
